Summer Essentials Part 1

Hi there!
As summer is fast approaching us, I thought I would show you some of my summer essentials!

1. Next Sparkle Azure Shimmer Body Spray
I always like to find a nice summer fragrance, and this Next body mist is perfect! It smells amazing and is very long wearing. It has quite a floral scent so is perfect for summer. This is a glitter body spray so leaves glitter when you spray it. This adds a gorgeous shimmer to your skin. This 200ml bottle is only £6, so is great value for money.

2. Primark Glitter Hair and Body Spray
After adopting the nickname of 'Sparkles' from my school friends, I thought I HAD to buy this spray! It is simply a glitter spray which you can use on clothing, hair and skin. It adds a lovely gold shimmer to your skin, and lasts all day long. I think this would look amazing with a tan, so will definitely be coming with me on holiday this year. This only costs £1, so even if you buy it for a bit of fun with your friends, its not going to burst the bank.

3. Beauty Formulas Cooling Mist
I am one of those people that love summer, but HATE getting too hot. When I get hot I get uncomfortable and irratable. I saw in one of Sprinkle Of Glitter's youtube videos form last year, that she used this cooling mist. I had to go and buy it! I am soooooo pleased that I did. It is so amazing, it really cools you down and very quickly. I use this at night if I get too hot, but I also used it on holiday last year. It definitely works better if you keep it in the fridge, however, it is still cold if you store it at room temperature. It only costs £1 from Savers, and 1 bottle (depending on how much you use it) should last at least 6 months. 1 bottle should definitely cover the whole of summer!
 4. Pastel Lip Sticks
When it gets to summer I love to pull out the pastel pinks and nudes for my lips. I find they just soften any makeup look and look perfect with tanned skin. I like to use the Natural Colletion moisture shine lipsticks, as they moisturise your lips aswell as adding a lovely colour. My 5 favourite pastel colours from this collection are: Raspberry, Pink Orchid, Coral Shimmer, Rose Petal and Sorbet. They all have a slight shimmer aswell so look lovely in the sun! For only £1.99 you really can't go wrong.
 5. Collection Speedy Highlighter- 1 Pearl Sheen
Recently, I have really loved highlighting my face. Any highlighter is suitabe, and I have many favourites, however, one that stands out is the Collection Speedy highlighter in the shade Pearl Sheen. It is a stick cream highlighter with a gorgeous sheen. It is extremly easy to apply and lasts all day long. I like to use it on the top of my cheek bones, down the bridge of my nose, and on my temples. The sun reflects off of this highligter beautifully. It only costs £3.99 and should last a good 4-6 months.

 6. Shimmery Nail Varnish
As most schools don't allow you to wear nail varnish, I always look forward to the summer holidays so I can paint my nails. I like to use sparkly polishes, so they stand out in the sun. I have recently started using Ciate nail varnishes, as I got the advent calender at Christmas. All of the colours are super pretty. I especially love the shades: Candy Floss, Rollercoaster, Blizzard and Members Only. I normally find that most nail varnishes start to peel after a couple of days, however, this hasn't happened with these nail varnishes. I also use the Ciate Underwear and Suspension Top Coat, which makes the polish very long wearing. The full size polishes are normally around £9.00 each, which is slightly pricey but totally worth it.

I hope you enjoyed reading about some of my summer favourites. Keep an eye out for a part 2 coming very soon! In the comments leave some of your fave summer essentials!

W7 Yummy Eyes Baked Eyeshadow-Shade: Cafe Latte

Hi There!

Another fab makeup review is coming your way! Today I am going to review the W7 Baked Eyeshadow in the shade Cafe Latte.

As you probably know from previous posts, I love all W7 makeup. However, this eyeshadow mis probaby one of my faves. It is very highly pigmented and adds a gorgeous shimmer to your eyelid. I love to use this to highlight my brow bone, and also in the corner of my eye to brighten them. Occasionaly I will sweep this under my eye to make my eyes stand out.

Another huge bonus of this product is the price! As with all other W7 products it is extremly affordable. It is only £4.95!!! I have had this eyeshadow for about 1 year and used it LOADSSS and there is still LOADSSS left! Definitely worth every single little penny!

Hope you enjoyed this review! I Highly recommend you purchase this product. It would look especially amazing for a prom look!

Collection Illuminating Touch Foundation- Shade: Porcelain 1

Boots- £5.99
Hi There!

Long time no blog! Due to revision for my GCSEs I had to focus on my exams rather than my blog. However, now that half term has finally occured I am able to take some time out of revsion to start writing blog posts!

Today I thought I would review my current fave makeup product. The Collection Illuminating Touch Foundation in the shade Porcelain 1.

I only started using foundation about 2 months ago, as an experiment for prom makeup. But, I fell in love with this foundation. I apply it with a beauty blender and it looks AMAZING!! The coverage is perfect and it adds a lovely glow to your skin. It is also very long wearing so lasts all day without the need to top up. It is sooo easy to blend into the skin and has a beautiful, natural finish.

I had never felt the need to wear foundation, however, after trying this foundation I will never turn back! I don't use it everyday, as I don't wear makeup when i'm lounging around at home revising, but, I absolutely love days where I put on my makeup because I love applying this foundation!

I highly recommend this foundation to first time makeup users, or anyone looking for a light weight but reasonably high coverage foundation.

Quote of The Week

If you want to make yourself, happy, you need to be with people that are with you through thick and thin. People who laugh with you, not at you. If you surround yourself with negativity, the happy moments in life will become miserable.

My Makeup Brushes Review and Recommendations

Today I am going to talk about the makeup brushes I use, and what I use them for.

This is the brush I use every single day to apply my powder. It is really soft and gives a very smooth and even finish. I have washed this brush multiple times and it has never malted once. I haven't lost a single bristle. This brush is by Royal Cosmetic Connections, and like others by this brand, is extremly affordable. It is just £1.99 which, for a brush of this quality, is amazing value for money.

This is another brush which I use daily. This is a Barbara Daly foundation brush, however, I only use it to apply concealer. This is another really soft brush, however, I have found that it occasionally sheds a few bristles after being washed. This is quite a stiff brush and is amazing at blending in concealer. I really recommend this brush if you are looking for an even finish for your concealer or foundation.

This is a Primark stippling brush. This brush only costs £1.99 and is perfect for contour and highlighting. This brush hasn't shed a single bristle since I bought it. I also find this brush the perfect size for applying blusher to the apples of my cheeks. It is very soft, and picks up a lot of product.

This is my favourite eyeshadow brush EVER! It is the perfect shape to fit in to the very corner of your eye. It is a great size, and gives you a lot of control when applying eyeshadow. It is very easy to clean, and doesn't malt. This is a W7 brush, and as you may already know, I love W7 products. This brush cost me only £1.99 and was worth every single penny. This is a brush that I would recommend to anyone.

This is an angled eyeshadow brush from W7. I don't really use this to apply eyeshadow, however, I do use it to fill in my eyebrows. It is the perfect shape and size for perfect brows. It is nice and thin so you have a lot more control over the thickness of your brows. Just like the previous brush, it only costs £1.99; great value for money. This also, is very easy to clean and doesn't malt.

This is a W7 smudger brush. This is the best brush to use to smoothly blend your eyeshadow together. It leaves a very slick finish and is espcially good for creating smoky looks. This brush is quite difficult to clean because it is a bit like a sponge and absorbs eyeshadow. However, when clean it gives a perfect finish to any makeup look. Just like the other W7 brushes I have mentioned this only costs £1.99.

This is a W7 lip brush. I don't regularly use a lip brush, unless I am applying darker shades. I like to use it to line my lips with the lipstick instead of using a lip liner. It is a nice size, and allows you to accurately apply lipstick. This brush is very easy to clean, however, I find it needs to be cleaned more regularly then my other brushes because the colours begin to mix. This brush, again, only costs £1.99 so is completly affordable.

I hope you liked seeing the brushes I use. I hope this will give you a bit more information on certain brushes if you are looking for some new ones.

January Favourites!

As it's coming to the end of the month, I thought I would share with you a few of my beauty faves from this month!

W7 Absolute Lashes Mascara
This mascara is brilliant and really lengthens curls your lashes. There is a huge wand for application and it catches every single lash. This is a great alternative to the Benefit They're Real mascara. This costs only £6.95 or just £3.99 from outlet stores. It is a great quality and long lasting product which I highly recommend.

W7 In the Buff Lightly Toasted Palette
The colours in this palette are all stunning and they blend together very easily. There are 12 shades, with a variety of matte and shimmers. I love creating a smoky look with this palette as it looks very elegant. They are very long wearing and highly pigmented. This costs just £9.99 or £5.99 at outlet stores. For people experimenting with different nude looks I highly recommend this palette.

Sprinkle Of Glitter 2016 Diary
I have never really been in to keeping a diary with important dates etc. However, I bought this one because I love youtubers and all of there merch. To my surprise it has actually come in really useful with keeping up to date on homework and blog posts (have u noticed there has been a post every week this month!) I was totally shocked when I opened this to find that it was signed by Sprinkle of Glitter herself. AMAZING! I highly recommend a diary to anyone who is trying to be a bit more organised!
Lush Bath Bombs
I really love coming in from a busy day at school and having a soak in a nice Lush bath. After Christmas, Lush reduce all of their Xmas range by 50%. When i went sale shopping I bought a tonne of Lush stuff fo such an amzing price. I love all of the Lush bath bombs, but some of my favourite Xmas ones are Yog Nog and Shoot for the Stars. Both change the colour of your bath water, and leave your skin feeling hydrated and fresh.

Primark Black Boots
I have wanted a pair of these boots for quite a while and I was lucky to finally get some in the Boxing Day sales. They were only £10 which I think is an amzing price. The heel is about three and a half inches high. I do get a small amount of pain the the sole of my foot when I wear them for long periods of time, however, I think this is because I am not used to wearing heels this high on a daily basis. They are perfect for any outfit; casual or smart.

Body Shop Vitamin E Cream Exfoliator
I have been through quite a few different exfoliators over the past few years, however, this is definitely my favourite. It is very gentle on the skin but still unclogs pores and removes dry skin. I use this every other day because I have very dry skin. It always leaves me feeling fresh and hydrated. The scent is lovely but not too overpowering.

I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the things I have been loving this month. Leave your favourites in the comments below!

Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette- Golden Sugar

A couple of weeks ago I posted about another blush palette by Makeup Revolution, in Sugar and Spice. I thought that today I would review my other blush palette in golden sugar.

I wouldn't really use these shades as blushers, however, they work perfectly for contour and bronzing. There are also shades for highlighting. I love the marble effect on some of the shades, I find it adds more definition to the colour.

Just like the other palette there is a great mirror, perfect for the application of the product. The packaging is very simple, but looks very professional. For only £6 this palette is totally worth every penny.

Pretty Little Liars!

OMG! Never have I been so hooked on a Tv show. I started watching this at the end of December, and from the first episode I couldn't turn it off!
For a bit of background info, Pretty Little Liars is about a group of 5 girls. One of them goes missing, and the other 4 grow apart. That is until, the body is found and the 4 girls reunite. They are trying to find out who killed their friend. Whilst all this is happening, they begin receiving messages from someone called A. They have to try and find out who A is.

I am currently on series 2, so no spoilers please! but already I know that that the revealing of A is going to be huge! I highely recommend this show to anyone looking for a murder mystery/ love story series.

If you have watched PLL, comment below your favourite character! Mine is currently Aria, she is very good at taking control of situations. Her love life is very confusing but she seems to have complete control of what she is doing!

If anyone has any other reccomendations of TV shows I might enjoy, please leave them below!

Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette- Sugar and Spice

Makeup Revolution is a brand, which I believe is completly under-rated. There makeup is AMAZING and is soooo cheap.

This blush Palette has some wondeful shades, with a variety of shimmers and mattes. It only cost £6 which is a great price for 8 blushers.

Not only are there blushers, but some can be used as bronzers, contour and highlight. My favourite shades are the marbled colours. Not only do they look amazing in the packaging, but they look so pretty on your cheeks. They are also very pigmented, so they last a very long time.

There is also a great mirror in the packaging which is HUGE! It is perfect for applying your makeup when your on holiday, and may not have a mounted mirror to use.

Overall Rating:

Pigmentation: 9
Packaging: 8
Cost: 10
Overall: 35/40

W7 In The Buff Lightly Toasted Review

This is definitely my favourite Naked palette dupe by W7. The colours are a range of shimmers and mattes, and there is a variety of light and dark shades.
They are all very highely pigmented and they look STUNNING when on the eyes! They are very easy to blend so this palette is perfect for creating smoky looks.

The colours are just as good and almost identical. The packaging is very simple but looks very appealing. There are 5 of these palettes altogether, of which I own 4. The others are equally as high quality, however, these colours are my favourite.
The cost of this palette was only £5.99 which is a fraction of the price of a Naked palette.

I highely recommend these palettes to anyone looking for a cheaper alternative, but equally as high qulity, Naked palette.
