Tanya Burr Lipgloss Review

Tanya Burr Lipgloss- Afternoon tea and Just peachy
Today I am going to review some of tanyas old collection lipglosses. I have 2 shades, on the left is Just Peachy and on the right is Afternoon tea.

First of all, the smell is amazing. They smell of strawberries and I belive the new ones smell of watermelon. It is such a nice touch as not many lipglosses have such a nice flavour.

The colours are very pigmented and look stunning on there own or on top of a lipstick.

My one issue with these products is that the brush picks up ALOT of product. I find that I always have way to much on the brush and have to wipe most of it off. Some people may like to use alot of lipgloss, but I find it makes my lips look plasticy (is that even a word?!). However, this could be a positive as the lipglosses do last ages.

I think the packaging is very simple but professional. However, I think the price is quite high. £5.99 doesnt seem much but for 1 lipgloss its quite expensive. Especially for teens on a budget!

Zoella Lets Spritz! Review

Zoella Lets Spritz- Superdrug £8

First of all can we all just appreciate how gorgeous this packaging is! The teal blue lid looks perfect with the pink spary. Also, the lace panel of the back of the bottle look so pretty from the front.

This is from Zoellas new Tutti Frutti collection. The scent is absolutely AMAZING! I wear this everyday and the scent never gets boring. I first expected it to be a bit to sweet, however, I was wonderfully surprised when I first smelt it. I have had this perfume since the first week it came out and i still have about half a bottle. I use it everyday for school and all of my friends love it to.

I think that £8 for 45ml of perfume is great value for money. It is long wearing so you only have to spray it once or twice a day.

100% this will be on my Christmas List twice this year so I never run out!!

Sleek I-Divine Palette Au Naturel Review

sleek eyeshadow edited
£7.99 Boots

This palette contains 12 very pigmented eyeshadows with a range of shimmers, mattes and nudes. My favourite 2 shades are Taupe (Top right) and Conker (Bottom left).
This palette will be perfect for autumn because the shades are very earthy and orangey. There is a huge mirror which is perfect if your out and about and need to apply makeup. There are colours for every eye part, dark shades for the crease, pale shades for a base and lid colour and shimmery shades for the inner corner of your eye.
I think that the price is very reasonable for 12 mineral based eyeshadows. They are very good quality and and are well pigmented.
The packaging, like any sleek packaging is so stylish and smooth.

Collection Eyeshadow Pencil Review

collection eyeshadow pencil edited

Shades: Vanilla Sky (cream) and Vintage Rose (pink) £2.99 each from Boots
These eyeshadow pencils are waterproof and very highly pigmented. They are a very reasonable price
because you can sharpen them, which means they have alot more product than you would expect.

However, once you apply these they are extremly hard to blend because they dont budge as soon as it touches the skin. They do go on quite smooth however, like I said, they wont move so once you apply them, they are hard to get off.

They add a really lovely shimmer to your eyes and I like to use Vanilla Sky in my waterline.
The packaging is lovely and simple and they are really easy to store because they aren't too big.

Packaging: 9/10

Slumber Party Tips!

I love having sleepovers and slumber partys with my friends. They are a great way to relax and have a bit of a laugh. Here are some tips for the perfect slumber party! xx

Face Masks:
You can buy facemasks from most supermarkets and chemists. They arn't very expensive and are a great way to relax. You can also make your own for just a few pounds, this way you know exactly whats in them. Here are 2 of my favourite face masks recipes!

Banana Face Mask: You will need: 1/2 a ripe banana, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of thick cream. (Feel free to double or triple the amounts to make as much as you like.)
1. Mash together 1/2 a ripe banana.
2. Add the honey and cream and stir.
3. Smooth over your face and leave for atleast 15 mins, then wash off with a warm wet flannel or cotton wool pads.
4. You can store any spare in the fridge for up to 3 days.
FACT: Banana is soothing for dry skin.

Avocado Face Mask: All you need is 1/2 a RIPE avocado.
1. Mash your avocado until it is as smooth as you can possibly get it. If the avocado is not ripe it will not be easy to mash.
2. Massage the avocado in to your face and leave it for 15 minutes, then rinse it off with warm water. Don't worry if it starts to go brown, that is what happens when oxygen gets to it!
FACT: The oils in avocados make them rich and moisturising on the skin.

When you have your face mask homemade or brought its good to have something to put over your eyes. Wet cotton wool works well however, most people use cucumber as its mild and softening and can remove black circles.
A great way to have fun at a slumber party is by giving each other facials! Here are 7 steps to the perfect facial:
1. Put a headband on your friend to keep her hair away from her face. Get your friend to lie down so you can still sit behind her head.
2. Start by massaging a cleansing lotion into her face. Start at her chin and make little circular movements and go around her face.
3. Use warm water to wash the cleansing lotion from the face.
4.  Apply the face mask that you either made or brought. Try to avoid the eye areas as they are more sensitive.
5. Wipe of your mask after the time stated on the packet or recipe.
6. Gently massage some moisturiser in to your friends face.
7. You have finished your facial and can now swap roles!
Some other options of great activities for slumber parties include: Manicures and pedicures, foot massages, hair styling.

Sleek Blusher- Rose Gold Review

sleek blush edited
Sleek Blush, Rose Gold- Boots £4.19
I absolutely love this blusher! First of all the packaging it so simple but stylish, matte black with the shiny sleek logo. Also, the blusher just looks amazing, the colour is so pretty and there is a slight shimmer of gold. The mirror is nice and big so you could actually use it to apply the product.
The product itself goes on very smooth and you don't need to use alot of the product to see the effects. The gold shimmer adds a lovely glow to your cheeks making them look very fresh.
The one issue with this product is the price. I personally think that £4.19 for a single blusher is slightly expensive considering drugstore eyeshadow palettes are cheaper. Also, I purchased the W7 make me blush in the shade Zara for £1.99 and it is exactly the same colour and less than half the price.

Overall rating:
Packaging: 10
Product: 9/10
Price: 6/10

If you have this blusher tell me what you think of it in the comments!

Makeup Dupes

For a teenage girl, trying to recreate ,makeup looks that I see on youtube can be challenging. Most of the time it is because some of the products that are used are way out of my price range. I therefore decided to try and find great quality dupes to create the same look and heres what I found.

On the right you can see the Benefit Hoola bronzer which is £23.50. On the left you can see the W7 Honolulu bronzer which is £4.95 (£2.99 at outlet stores). As you can see the colour is extremly similar and you get an applicator brush with both bronzers. The only difference is the brand and price.

This time on the left is the Urban Decay Naked Palettes which are £38 each (there is also a new smoky one). On the right are the W7 dupes which are £9.99 each (£5.99 at outlet stores). As you can see the shades are almost identical even in the smoky shades palettes which both brands have recently brought out. I had always wanted a Naked palette until I stumbled across W7 cosmetics about 2 years ago and realised that there palettes and dupes are always amazing! I currently own In the Nude, In the night (not in image purple case) and In the night smoky (not in image black case), aswell as a tonne of other W7 products.

As you can see on the bottom is the Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge (There are other brands but this is the first one which came to mind) and this costs £7-£8. On the top is the W7 power puff which costs £4.95 (£2.99 at outlet stores). Now even though the Real Techniques sponge isn't exactly expensive and there are more expensive ones, the W7 is still cheaper. They also come in different shapes and colours.

At the top of this image is Benfits They're Real mascara which is £19.50. At the bottom is the W7 Absolute Lashes mascara which is £6.95 (£3.99 at outlet stores). As you can see the packaging is almost identical and as you can see below once applicated there is no difference between them apart from price.

This just goes to show that a higher price doesnt make a higher quality or better product there are always cheaper alternatives.
I hope you liked this post and I have a huge list of other W7 products I have yet to buy, which I will be getting this week so I will see if there are anymore great dupes.

Makeup Haul!

Hello!
Recently I have brought ALOT of makeup so I decided to pick out some of my favourite purchases to show you!
in the nude closed
One of my favourite purchases is the W7 In The Nude palette. I have wanted this palette for a long time as I already had 2 of them. The colours are really pigmented and have a slight pink undertone. My favourite 2 shades are Angel and Sun Kissed. (£5.99 outlet price)
contour kit closed
My next favourite is the Makeup Revolution ultra sculpt and contour kit (CO1). I have only used this once as I brought it yesterday but my first impression is that the blusher is quite pale but adds a nice drop of colour to you cheeks. Also the highlighter is such a pretty colour and looks amazing on the skin. I haven't yet tried the bronzer but it looks very matte. (£3.50 - Superdrug).
concealer kit open
Next is the W7 Camouflage Kit. First of all I think the packaging is soo simple yet so gorgeous. You get 5 shades of cream concealer. I use the first 4 shades on different parts of my face. I havent yet used the last shade because it looks a bit dark for my skin tone. They give AMAZING coverage which I was quite shocked about. (£2.99 Outlet Price).
CK swatch
When I was shopping in a beauty outlet store (most of the products are from this shop) I was so surprised to see that they had Calvin Klein lipsticks for just £1.99 (Retail £11). Because of the price I just had to pick one up and I am so pleased that I did. I picked the colour Desire because I thought it would be perfect for Autumn. The lipstick is very pigmented and is such a pretty colour. It is very creamy and looks very smooth on the lips.
makeup revolution reckless
The next lipstick I brought is a Makeup Revolution lipstick in the shade Reckless. I brought this yesterday after making a huge list of products I wanted to get from Makeup Revolution. Unfortunately, the superdrug I went to didnt have a very big stand so I couldn't get everything I wanted. This was the only lipstick from my list that I could find and it is gorgeous!! I think I will use it more in autumn but it is such a lovely pinky red shade and for only £1 you cant go wrong!
MUA shade 9 swatch
The final lipstick I will include is the MUA lipstick in Shade 9. This is such a lovely shimmery pinky nude. It looks stunning on the lips and is really creamy. Also, like the Makeup revolution lipstick, if you twist off the bottom of the packaging you have a small pot of the lipstick itself. The packaging is lovely and again its only £1!!
absolute lashes
I have been looking for this mascara for ages! Its is the dupe for the Benefit They're real mascara (see my makeup dupes post). This mascara is amazing! It makes my lashses look fabulous and long and actually makes them look fuller. The brush is nice and big and catches all of your eyelashes. I would much rather spend £3.99 on this mascara than £19.50 on They're real for the same effect.

I will probably be uploading some more of the products I brought as there is ALOT more! Hope you enjoyed this type of post. If you have brought any new products that you would recommend leave them in the comments below!
