Collection Illuminating Touch Foundation- Shade: Porcelain 1

Boots- £5.99
Hi There!

Long time no blog! Due to revision for my GCSEs I had to focus on my exams rather than my blog. However, now that half term has finally occured I am able to take some time out of revsion to start writing blog posts!

Today I thought I would review my current fave makeup product. The Collection Illuminating Touch Foundation in the shade Porcelain 1.

I only started using foundation about 2 months ago, as an experiment for prom makeup. But, I fell in love with this foundation. I apply it with a beauty blender and it looks AMAZING!! The coverage is perfect and it adds a lovely glow to your skin. It is also very long wearing so lasts all day without the need to top up. It is sooo easy to blend into the skin and has a beautiful, natural finish.

I had never felt the need to wear foundation, however, after trying this foundation I will never turn back! I don't use it everyday, as I don't wear makeup when i'm lounging around at home revising, but, I absolutely love days where I put on my makeup because I love applying this foundation!

I highly recommend this foundation to first time makeup users, or anyone looking for a light weight but reasonably high coverage foundation.

Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette- Golden Sugar

A couple of weeks ago I posted about another blush palette by Makeup Revolution, in Sugar and Spice. I thought that today I would review my other blush palette in golden sugar.

I wouldn't really use these shades as blushers, however, they work perfectly for contour and bronzing. There are also shades for highlighting. I love the marble effect on some of the shades, I find it adds more definition to the colour.

Just like the other palette there is a great mirror, perfect for the application of the product. The packaging is very simple, but looks very professional. For only £6 this palette is totally worth every penny.

Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette- Sugar and Spice

Makeup Revolution is a brand, which I believe is completly under-rated. There makeup is AMAZING and is soooo cheap.

This blush Palette has some wondeful shades, with a variety of shimmers and mattes. It only cost £6 which is a great price for 8 blushers.

Not only are there blushers, but some can be used as bronzers, contour and highlight. My favourite shades are the marbled colours. Not only do they look amazing in the packaging, but they look so pretty on your cheeks. They are also very pigmented, so they last a very long time.

There is also a great mirror in the packaging which is HUGE! It is perfect for applying your makeup when your on holiday, and may not have a mounted mirror to use.

W7 In The Buff Lightly Toasted Review

This is definitely my favourite Naked palette dupe by W7. The colours are a range of shimmers and mattes, and there is a variety of light and dark shades.
They are all very highely pigmented and they look STUNNING when on the eyes! They are very easy to blend so this palette is perfect for creating smoky looks.

The colours are just as good and almost identical. The packaging is very simple but looks very appealing. There are 5 of these palettes altogether, of which I own 4. The others are equally as high quality, however, these colours are my favourite.
The cost of this palette was only £5.99 which is a fraction of the price of a Naked palette.

I highely recommend these palettes to anyone looking for a cheaper alternative, but equally as high qulity, Naked palette.

W7 In The Nude Palette Review

Shades (from left to right) Latte, Angel, Venice, Marilyn, Copper Pot, Sun Kissed, Alice, Bad Manners, Coffee Cup, Mud Slide, Tokyo, Fashionista.

This Palette has a mixture of shimmery, matte and shiny shades. They range in different shades including pale and dark. They are all very higly pigmented and are very easy to apply.

My most used shades are Latte, Copper Pot, Sun Kissed and Fashionista. I like to create a smoky effect using these shades and they blend together very easily. I like to use Latte as a base colur, Copper Pot in my inner corner, Sunkissed in the outer corner and underneath my eye, and finally Fashionista in my crease.

This palette is the perfect dupe for the Naked 3 Palette but is so much cheaper (Retail: £9.99 Outlet: £5.99).

Some of the shades have a slight pink undertone, and other have a more brown undertone. They all look really lovely together when applied.

The packaging is really simple but pretty. The old packaging has creases in the lide like the Naked 3, but the new ones are smooth. You also get an applicator brush however, I prefer to use my own.

Calvin Klein Lipstick Shade: Desire- Review

As it is coming up to Autumn, I thought I would start to review some of my favourite Autumn makeup products.

Today, I am going to be talking about the Calvin Klein Cream Lipstick in the shade Desire.
This is the perfect Autumnal colour. As you can see from the swatch, it is a deep purple/red.

It goes onto the lips smoothly and helps to hydrate them. It is also very long wearing so you dont have to top it up through out the day.

The pigmentation of the lipstick is AMAZING! It is exactly the same colour on the lips as it is on my hand (top right). It also isnt too dark, so is perfect if you don't want a really dark autumn lip.

Colour: 10
Packaging: 8
Cost: 10 (I brought this from an outlet shop for only £1.99 they retail for £11)
Overall: 28/30

Tanya Burr Lipgloss Review

Tanya Burr Lipgloss- Afternoon tea and Just peachy
Today I am going to review some of tanyas old collection lipglosses. I have 2 shades, on the left is Just Peachy and on the right is Afternoon tea.

First of all, the smell is amazing. They smell of strawberries and I belive the new ones smell of watermelon. It is such a nice touch as not many lipglosses have such a nice flavour.

The colours are very pigmented and look stunning on there own or on top of a lipstick.

My one issue with these products is that the brush picks up ALOT of product. I find that I always have way to much on the brush and have to wipe most of it off. Some people may like to use alot of lipgloss, but I find it makes my lips look plasticy (is that even a word?!). However, this could be a positive as the lipglosses do last ages.

I think the packaging is very simple but professional. However, I think the price is quite high. £5.99 doesnt seem much but for 1 lipgloss its quite expensive. Especially for teens on a budget!

Zoella Lets Spritz! Review

Zoella Lets Spritz- Superdrug £8

First of all can we all just appreciate how gorgeous this packaging is! The teal blue lid looks perfect with the pink spary. Also, the lace panel of the back of the bottle look so pretty from the front.

This is from Zoellas new Tutti Frutti collection. The scent is absolutely AMAZING! I wear this everyday and the scent never gets boring. I first expected it to be a bit to sweet, however, I was wonderfully surprised when I first smelt it. I have had this perfume since the first week it came out and i still have about half a bottle. I use it everyday for school and all of my friends love it to.

I think that £8 for 45ml of perfume is great value for money. It is long wearing so you only have to spray it once or twice a day.

100% this will be on my Christmas List twice this year so I never run out!!

Sleek I-Divine Palette Au Naturel Review

sleek eyeshadow edited
£7.99 Boots

This palette contains 12 very pigmented eyeshadows with a range of shimmers, mattes and nudes. My favourite 2 shades are Taupe (Top right) and Conker (Bottom left).
This palette will be perfect for autumn because the shades are very earthy and orangey. There is a huge mirror which is perfect if your out and about and need to apply makeup. There are colours for every eye part, dark shades for the crease, pale shades for a base and lid colour and shimmery shades for the inner corner of your eye.
I think that the price is very reasonable for 12 mineral based eyeshadows. They are very good quality and and are well pigmented.
The packaging, like any sleek packaging is so stylish and smooth.

Collection Eyeshadow Pencil Review

collection eyeshadow pencil edited

Shades: Vanilla Sky (cream) and Vintage Rose (pink) £2.99 each from Boots
These eyeshadow pencils are waterproof and very highly pigmented. They are a very reasonable price
because you can sharpen them, which means they have alot more product than you would expect.

However, once you apply these they are extremly hard to blend because they dont budge as soon as it touches the skin. They do go on quite smooth however, like I said, they wont move so once you apply them, they are hard to get off.

They add a really lovely shimmer to your eyes and I like to use Vanilla Sky in my waterline.
The packaging is lovely and simple and they are really easy to store because they aren't too big.

Slumber Party Tips!

I love having sleepovers and slumber partys with my friends. They are a great way to relax and have a bit of a laugh. Here are some tips for the perfect slumber party! xx

Face Masks:
You can buy facemasks from most supermarkets and chemists. They arn't very expensive and are a great way to relax. You can also make your own for just a few pounds, this way you know exactly whats in them. Here are 2 of my favourite face masks recipes!

Banana Face Mask: You will need: 1/2 a ripe banana, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of thick cream. (Feel free to double or triple the amounts to make as much as you like.)
1. Mash together 1/2 a ripe banana.
2. Add the honey and cream and stir.
3. Smooth over your face and leave for atleast 15 mins, then wash off with a warm wet flannel or cotton wool pads.
4. You can store any spare in the fridge for up to 3 days.
FACT: Banana is soothing for dry skin.

Avocado Face Mask: All you need is 1/2 a RIPE avocado.
1. Mash your avocado until it is as smooth as you can possibly get it. If the avocado is not ripe it will not be easy to mash.
2. Massage the avocado in to your face and leave it for 15 minutes, then rinse it off with warm water. Don't worry if it starts to go brown, that is what happens when oxygen gets to it!
FACT: The oils in avocados make them rich and moisturising on the skin.

When you have your face mask homemade or brought its good to have something to put over your eyes. Wet cotton wool works well however, most people use cucumber as its mild and softening and can remove black circles.
A great way to have fun at a slumber party is by giving each other facials! Here are 7 steps to the perfect facial:
1. Put a headband on your friend to keep her hair away from her face. Get your friend to lie down so you can still sit behind her head.
2. Start by massaging a cleansing lotion into her face. Start at her chin and make little circular movements and go around her face.
3. Use warm water to wash the cleansing lotion from the face.
4.  Apply the face mask that you either made or brought. Try to avoid the eye areas as they are more sensitive.
5. Wipe of your mask after the time stated on the packet or recipe.
6. Gently massage some moisturiser in to your friends face.
7. You have finished your facial and can now swap roles!
Some other options of great activities for slumber parties include: Manicures and pedicures, foot massages, hair styling.
